I Wrote This Down Two Years Ago ✍️

(When I turned 30)

I first learned about this concept when I was working at BetterUp.

It describes a progression in personal and professional growth:

1️⃣ LEARNING

This is where you gain new knowledge and skills as an absolute beginner. You study and prepare for the next stage.

2️⃣ DOING

This is where you apply what you've learned. You practice, gain experience, and turn knowledge into action.

3️⃣ BEING

This is where you embrace what you've learned. Your skills become second nature. You master your craft and start teaching others.

The reason I linked it to my age decades is because, while I consider myself quite advanced as a seller, I have to prove it by building something on my own.

(I knew I'd end up on my own again at some point)

Two years later, this feels quite accurate. The 20s were about learning and absorbing from the mentors, managers, and founders around me.

Now I'm in the 'Doing' phase of building, and it's exciting.
