What Is Fractional Selling?
“Fractional is the new consulting.”
–– philip horváth, Germany’s leading culture consultant.
Though the idea has been around since the early 2000s, it’s really become a thing in recent years, and even months it feels.
The benefit for companies is that they can access high-level expertise without the cost of an FTE, let alone the paperwork.
It’s especially common for early-stage startups (my sweet spot).
The big difference from typical consulting work: you don’t just give strategic advice, but also help to action it afterward.
That’s where companies lack time, manpower, and expertise.
Especially in my stage (Seed), it’s also a lot of business development, not just selling, meaning that the outcome is:
Not only deals, but feedback from the market, learnings on messaging, and deal management (becomes a sales process).
In short, twice the value, so don't sell yourself short.
