Don’t Use VC Lingo To Sell

Dear early-stage founders,

A seller will make your product vision less sexy (less "blue ocean", less VC lingo).

Otherwise, buyers won't understand if it's too far from what they know today.

If you want to sell (well), become comfortable with being less sexy. (Marketing is sexy, Sales is practical.)

Once you're in the door, you can throw in the sexiness (great cherry on top 🍒 for retention/upsellls/cross-sells).

Just don't lead with it.
