My Honest Daily Routine (For Now)
On 5 out of 7 days I don’t start work until noon.
(But there's a catch.)
My honest daily routine––for now:
AM
7 – wake up, no alarm, take supplements
8 – snoozed some more, get up, pre-workout breakfast
8.30 – engage with my pre-scheduled LinkedIn post, Whatsapp
9 – arrive at gym: weights, treadmill, swimming, sauna
Go home with an electric scooter, buy groceries, have a quick
protein-heavy meal (steak or shrimp with lots of eggs + honey).
PM
12 – start work properly, usually my first meeting
3 – stroll to a near-by café, keep typing away
6 – walk home, buy dinner groceries and prepare
7 – work until 10-11 pm-ish
10 – occasionally treat myself to a book or soccer match
On gym off-days (every third day), I start work after I wake up.
On weekends, I allow myself to sleep in but still wake up by 9 at
the latest. Most errands on Saturdays, cleaning on Sundays.
Still, I try to work a few hours each day. If I don’t meet friends at
night (I def. prefer meeting some!), I also work many evenings.
And yes, the catch:
My gym time is my reflection time. That’s where I strategize in
my head and get lots of (content) ideas that I write down after.
That is my honest routine, and it works for me (context: no
kids, girlfriend, or pet). All focus on self-employment growth.
I’m currently listening to Rick Rubin’s “The Creative Act: A Way
of Being”. One lesson: there is no right way to create.
(Andy Warhol had the TV, record player, and radio running at
the same time while working.)
What is your routine?
